thry have seemingly cheap MH bulbs, anybody had experience with the bulb they use? is the 20 k bulb a good option?
its 41 bucks shipped..

No experience here, the only thing to do is try it and find out !!! Let us know what you find. You will definitly want to check out how long they last.

Talking I love them :)

I switch between the 250w 10K and 14K and I LOVE them!



I think if you try them you'll like them. If you check on E-bay under KMTBM for my rating you'll see that the people that have tried them like them.

The 20K in the 175 is a deep water blue if you want a more blue look it is a good bulb and still gives decent growth.

If you're looking for the "GLOW" out of your corals, but still want a whiter light, the 10K 175w bulb would better meet your needs. It gives enough actinic to REALLY make the colors stand out without giving a blue hue to your tank.
