MH Balasts
I will be upgrading my 2-175 magnetic balast to 2-250 watters. I need raw ones to add to my existing setup. What ones would you get. It seems the Icecap electronic is a great one to get as well as the ARO from hellolights.
Also trying to keep it around $100 for each. Last edited by 110galreef; 11-07-2005 at 10:36 AM. |

I don't think your going to get Icecap for that price. For raw ballast, I beleive what you are looking for is either M-59 or M-81 ANSI codes.

Well the IceCap's are around $125 each and the ARO's are about $105. Seems like for the $$$ and the effectivness the ARO's are the way to go. Any opther input or recomendations?

Have you thought about bulb choices? Sanjay Joshi's website is an excellent resource to see which bulb/ballast combination's produce the best results.

This is the only one I've seen. Not sure if it is the one you are referencing. Do you have a link. Thanks |

After a little more digging I think the Icecap is the way to go as well.
