metal halide pc waaay better than T5 alone
The best looking type of light ever Metal Halide With Power Compact
I used to have a 2 36'' TEK T5 lights 6 X 39 watt side by side on my 72'' It was bight on my 150 but not bright enought, So I went to www.aquauniverse.com 5 months ago and got this 72'' fixture with 3 X 250 HQI and 4 X 96 watt power compacts Oh, my god - my tank looks sooo sweet. I got 15k bulbs for the 250 hqi which really brings out the beautiful colors of my hard corals and clams. The actinics really bring out even more color. I have everything set on a digital timer so I have the power compacts come on in the morning, the Metal Halides kick on in the Afternoon - and shut down in the evening. At night I leave the Moonlights on and they are on a dimmable switch so I turn them up or down whenever I feel like it. I love this fixture. I am looking for a good refugium kit though, does anyone have something used that I can pick up in the North Carolina Area? I do not mind a little drive. I am in Raleigh. Let me know |
