HQI vs. Mogul
What are the advantages of HQI aside from size.
Also Disadvantages. |

In some combinations, the double-ended put out more PAR. There are some mogule based combinations that are just as powerful though.

Personally I have stayed away from them because the need to be shielded. This is why the double ended have glass under them. Although both bulbs will break if the get wet the glass from the double ended makes a bigger mess. Also the double ended bulbs are more expensive. Of course this is just a personal preference of mine. The double ended fixtures are slim and very nice looking if you don't want a hood over the tank. So it all depends on what you want.....
