Just starting a new hobbie and want to get a little info. Have been to three different LFSs and always get three different answers.
I have a new 90gal and dont want to be held back. I have spent a couple of grand on the set-up so far. I was convinced to buy a Current Orbit 2 96w actinic + 2 96w Dual daylight (6500k+10000k). This isnt going to be enough is it? Like i said i want no restraints. SPS ect. I have a 250 mh 12000k but its not set up. Can I put all these in a canopy? Will this be enough? Please help |

I had a Current 4X130 (2 130 W dual actinic, 2 130 W 10,000K) which wasn't quite enough for me in my 75 gallon with clams and SPS... I'd definitely go with the mh, but I'm not an expert on how much to go with... I'm sure someone will jump on here soon, or do a forum search on lighting....

I had to make my canopy 8 inches taller to keep the MH's 8 inches above the water. |

I have a 90 gallon, it is lit by 2 250W 10K XM's, and I recently added a single 46.5" VHO actinic 03. It has just the right look to me, and I get an excellent balance of color and growth!
