Well we done it. We switched from VHO's to 2 aqua medic 250W HQI. WOW this looks great! We only had these a week so its too early to tell a difference in animals but the tank has never looked better. We did install these in a wooden canopy against the manufactures recommendations but with a 105cfm fan there has been no temperature issues. FYI

Awesome! The difference in appearance from VHO/PC, etc to MH is unbelievable. Hopefully all of your corals will acclimate well to the new light and all will be great!

What did you do to your photoperiod to help your animals acclimate?

Oh, and do you have any before and after pics!!!

We reduced the photo period down to 8 hrs. and gradually increasing.
