newbie question
i just got a 25 gallon tank and a bak pak filter for christmas. i would like to fill the tank with live rock and some salt water fish. i was wondering what kind of lighting i would need for the live rock. please help!

![]() For Live rock you really don't need a lot of light, I would suggest a nice PC or T5 fixture with 2 bulbs, one white and one blue. You should should be able to find one at one of our sponsors for under $80. ANd that really is for your benefit, not the rocks.... |

is there a certain amount of wattage i need to get? someone told me i need a certain amount of watts per gallon? is that true?

![]() You only need a certain amount of light if you are planning to keep any corals. If your not, the setup Mike has suggested is plenty since all you'll be looking for is to bring out the color in the fish and provide a more pleasing light for the viewers pleasure. |
