LPS and PC Light Question?
I currently have a 35 hex - I am running a 96W quad PC light 10-12 hours per day and a regular atinic approx 5 hours. What kind of LPS can I keep?? There are 20 inches from the lights to the bottom of the tank. Approx where should I place the ones I can keep? Thank you in advance.

I would stick with hardy soft corals only. Of course you could go for a sun coral but it doesn't require light but does require a lot of manual feedings. You could try a little torch frag placed high in the rock work to see how it did.

I kept Galaxia, Hammer, Trumpet, Xenia, Mushrooms, Capnella, and frogspawn, all under PC. I think that is a good start for you, they are easy to keep.

Ok! Thanks for the input, I was hoping I could get Acans or Blasto's. How much more light do I need for those?

I think in general, most of these types of corals are going to have the same requirements, in general. The more intense lighting the better but they can do well under less intense conditions. I would put them up high in your tank since it is so deep I would be concerned they wouldn't get enough low in the column.

I had a Blasto too... Still have it as a matter of fact. It is under shade in my tank, it doesn't like my MH very much. I can't answer for the Acan, I haven't researched those yet...

Most any LPS should be fine with your lighting. Most people emphasize lighting over things such as water flow and feeding, when the latter two can be even more important.
