hoods and reflectors

If anyone can help i currently have a 400w hqi ballast and pendent hood from pfo running a 20k radium which i am happy with. But i am looking for a better grade reflector or hood than pfo. i have a sps tank and i am trying to get as much light as possible in the tank. i saw a couple from pacific garden supply i think they were called the luminator III and lumintor iv which seemed to be really nice, but i am still researching if anyone has any recomondations on better reflectors it would be greatly appreciated thanks rich

If you are thinking about the Lumenarc reflectors....... yes, they come very highly recommended. Np personal experience with them, but I know a few people that are very happy with them.

Another benefit of the Lumenarc reflector is they spread the light out better than other reflectors but they are kinda big. Another option would be to add a couple of Aquablue T5 fluorescents to your current set up. They put out a lot of PAR and shouldn't really change the look you get now. They are a crisp 11K white with a hint of blue.

The Lumenarc reflectors are very nice, but may not be that much better than what you have depending on which PFO reflector you own now.

I would like to get a little more information. What reflector are you using currently? What is the size of the tank (exact dimensions would be great!)? And lastly, how high off of the water is the lamp?
