DE bulb type?

I currently have Aqua Medic 250W HQI pendants and ballasts using 20K bulbs. I bought the system used and would like to change the bulbs. I am thinking of going with the Hamilton 14 K but wanted to compare bulbs. Anyone have any information for me?

Thanks for the link. What I am looking for is a thread on some site that I saw a while back actually showing pictures of actual lighting over tanks side by side to compare appearance. Anyone remember this and have a link?

Not sure if that was the thread but great information, thanks. I did skim though the whole thread. I am looking for pics of tanks using 250 DE bulbs without supplementation.

gil716, great link, that was the one I was thinking of. I went with the 15000K XM DE bulbs, I am picking them up Sunday. Will post a pic once they burn in.
