36 Gallon Bow Front
I just purchased a 36 gallon BF. It has 70 lbs of live rock, Xenia, shrooms, ricordea, and a top rock "shelf" that is 7 inches below the surface of the water. On this shelf is a Crocea clam, Pocillopora, Hydnophora, the shelf is approx. 10" x 12". The previous owner has told me that since everything in the tank is geographically seperated these can be kept in the same tank and that since the clam and the other corals are so shallow the 195 watts of PC lighting is more than adequate. The tank is about 6 months old. I think I should upgrade to an Outer Orbit 36" 150 HQI with the 2 65 watt PC actinics??? Opinions greatly appreciated. The tank is 30" wide, 18" deep and 12 front to back. Thanks.....

If you upgrade, ypou will definitly be able to drop them critters down a bit in the tank.
