IceCap
This is my current setup and the red boxes are the tubes in the red boxes are the ones I want to connect to the IceCap VHO ballast. Can I do this with the 4 tubes not in a row? I cannot afford 2 ballasts but will eventually buy a second ballast and all tubes will be VHO.

From IceCap:
Your total lamp length or wattage demand is well within our max but 8 lamps which include PC's is a stretch even from what I'm used to being asked. I can't wait to see if anyone else replies to this. Why don't you call us at 800-742-3227 ext. 25 and talk it over with Dave in service before you do anything. Andy |

Sorry,
I assumed the 18-watt lamps were PC and not linear. Either way it's outside the normal bounds of applications. I've only heard from one IceCap user who had anything close to what you propose. If you walk this trail you go without a map. Andy |

I didn't intend to use all 8 tubes with the ICECAP just the ones in the red boxes. I know I can wire the 4 tubes if they are all parallel but if they are split, 2ft away from each other?

From IceCap:
You can place the lamps 20 feet or more apart. Just make sure and connections are made sound and you use proper gauge wire. Also, when using small lamps, be aware that heat builds up and ages them rapidly unless there is good ventilation. Andy |

From IceCap:
Yes, a Model 3000 could run that load. It's a NO ballast with IceCap technology. Andy |
