MH Lighting options for 46gallon bow front
okay... before i get to the questions let me explain my tank
I have a 46 bowfront from Petsmart, so its 36 wide and 20.5 deep I am pretty much starting fresh I plan to have some soft corals, anemone, and polyps and maybe a clam I dont really know what size or color MH to run... guys at the LFS said a 36" fixture with a 250w MH and 2 96w PC would be fine I was thinking of running a 10k MH, 10k PC and actinic PC... all help is appreciated thanks |

I think the size of the fixture is fine but I would look for a name brand fixture such as Sunlight Supply, Icecap, PFO, etc. I have heard of people buying these cost effective fixtures and them only lasting for a couple of months.
