150 Gal Lighting
Was wondering if I were to add three 250 watt MH and some PCs (96 watts) or T5s to a 150 gallon (60x24x24) tank would this be to much light. Should I just go with two 250s? What do you all recommend?

IMO, you could get by with only two MH's but three would be better. I don't see any reason to use the other lighting, the MH's will be all you need.

If the tank is a typical 150 @ 6" long, I would go with 3 MH.

Not at all, I think everybody has what they and their peers call standard. Look at the 55 gal tank..I think there's about 8 standard sizes for that
