Unhappy PLS PLS Help

Hi again all,

I had a question about T-% lighting in another thread under dobz and messed up the info I gave you,
my lighting should read
1 x Altman Coral Blue 20000 ks, 30 w
1 x Altman Tri power 15000 ks 30 w
1 x Marine Glow 10000ks 30w

is this too much/not enough light for my 55 gall
with 1 x very sick looking BTA ,he recently re-located himsel from out sid the rocks to a cavern under the rocks?
2 x Tomatoe clowns
1 x fox-face rabbit fish
1 x coral shrimp

You have too little lighting....you have 1.6 watts per gallon with your current setup. To keep an anemone you need at least 5 watts per gallon in my opinion. Right now you have lighting requirements for a fish only setup. I would get alot more lighting or try and find a home for the BTA, it might be too late if he has lost all his zoo and is not eating.

mad dog is correct. Your lighting probably won't support an anenome. PLEASE do some research before the purchase of these animals!!!!! JMHO

I think you're telling us that you have three standard output T8 fluorescent tubes, 30 watts each, 3-ft long, over your 4-ft long tank. Is that correct?

If so, I don't believe that is adequate to maintain any of the host sea anemones. You should consider upgrading to something stronger.

In the meantime, see if your anemone will accept tiny pieces of shrimp every other day. Just use regular raw shrimp from the grocery store.

Maybe he just doesn't like the fish you're feeding him. Try small pieces of shrimp.
