Hi guys,
I have about 40 lbs of LR...im not interested in keeping coral at this time (i would like some experience with easier to manage stuff!). What i am interested is making the LR look the best that it can and alive. Do i need any specific lighting requirements for this to occur? Your advice is appreciated!

personally, ime, the "easy corals" are as easy(probly easier) as most fish.i would go ahead and chose reef safe fish (seems like you might eventually be headed that way and they will be kind to anything on youre rocks)and use at least 2-3 watts a gallon of normal output flourescents.with careful manegement of youre ca and alk (i reccomend b-ionic it wont cost you much since you have no corals its simple, and once you figure youre daily dose out youre levels will stay pretty steady) youre rocks will be beatiful in no time.
