Talking I won the Raffle!

At a local frag fest, I won a $100 gift certificate (!) for anything from Compact Fluorescent Lighting Kits
I'm trying to decide what to get. I know I want a 55-watt unit, and I'm leaning towards the 4 x 55 watt item. Right now I've got a 55-gallon w/ a 150w MH over half the tank, and 2 PC 65W Coralife units over the other half. I'm looking to replace the 2 PC 65W units and keep the 150 MH (yes, it looks odd sometimes). I keep soft and LPS corals.
What are some opinions? Also, what would people recommend for bulb configurations?

Re: I won the Raffle!

Congratulations!!!!

I think the only thing you may have to worry about is the amount of heat that is gonna be produced by changing from 2 to 4 bulbs, if I am reading your selection right. Other than that, I think you would be OK. JMHO

I would try 2 10K and 2 of the deep bluue 03 bulbs.

Re: I won the Raffle!

Thanks, Charlie! I think I'm going to go with that- it'll probably be up and built in a week or two. I'll take pics. I've got an open top, so hopefully I'll just have to drip in more Kalk, or buy a fan.

Re: I won the Raffle!

Just keep a close eye on your temps. I would also watch your photoperiod with the new fixture. Since you are adding lite, you may want cut back a couple of hours on each end until your critters adjust.
