Giesemann megachrome 14500 coral 250 watt

Has anyone used these? I just ordered them to replace my 14 month old stock bulbs that came with my fixture. I'm hoping to see a big difference in color I'm sick of the yellow hue these lights were giving off. Besides they were due to be changed also.

I am interested in your feedback once you get these (and some pictures if you could). I am kind of leaning towards a pair of these myself.

If I am not mistaken, I think Gene is using Geiseman bulbs, but I am not sure what K rating he has on his tank. You may want to check this thread:

My tank is starting to look better, I think

I tried looking thru it for the bulbs he is using, couldn't find it right off the bat. Shoot him a PM if all else fails.

I should have them by next Monday, I'll do before and after pics and let you know if the corals respond to them more than the stock bulbs I have now.
I always have a light dusting of brown stuff on my glass, is this due to old bulbs?

It is either that or, you have some excess somewhere. I am gonna bet on old bulbs.
Don't forget, to acclimate your new bulbs Louise!!!! I am also going to be interested in your feedback on these. And, of course, take pics. Now you have that posting pics part down to a fine science, we expect some gems.
