    Hi smurfman,

I'm not sure I understand your question as it is presented. From what I understand of fluorescent lighting that is used in this hobby the VHO bulbs are usually T8's and the T5's are the thinner bulbs and will need different end caps but could be run on the same ballasts as the VHO or the HO fluorescent bulbs as long as wattage is the same.
I'm not sure what T6 bulbs are because I never used them, hopefully someone will chime in soon to help you out.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

    Re: T6 and T5 lighting

i Bought th T6s from a freind at a good price but i am having trouble finding replacement bulbs. The T6 is just a little bigger than T5s. The are high output and put out 54w. I was planning to by the T5 sockets to replace the T6s. I wanted to know if the ballast will run the T5 vhos. as i right this i understand how confusing this is i have talk to lighting companies and it confuses them. From what i understand the T6 HO bulbs and the T5 VHO bulbs need special ballast. Just wondering if a ballast that run my T6 HO will Run T5s VHO.

    Re: T6 and T5 lighting

I was afraid of that. I have just been using the cheap strip light setups you can get at homedepot for the past couple years. Never experienced good light before!

I came across a forum where someone had a few pictures and talked about their experience so far. I will try to track it down again.

Does anyone have experience using these lights? I am just curious if they really are as good as T5's.
