Ya know I got this setup from Naser here on the board...he thought it was a 150HQI and ended up being a 250HQI ....Which is all good to me...I actually wanted the 250HQI and means I even got a better deal....Naser if your out there bro I think you told me that the bulbs where 6500k iwasakis? Well I fired them up and they actually had a tint of blue to them...I duno maybe he forgot what bulbs they where too...any way to tell guys? I suppose I could take a pic of them

Our new Icecaps have the brand, wattage and kelvin printed right on the bulb.

Advanced Aquarist's Online Magazine - Product Review: Spectral Analysis of 400W Metal Halide Lamps: Giesemann, Krystal Star, South Pacific Sunlight, BLV, Catalina
Although this was the analysis on 400w...might give you some insight on the bulb. I personally never heard of it. |

what is your experience guys with a Phoenix bulb? I just bought 2 150W Metal Halides and the guy at my LFS said to try them... 14K's

I like them. They are just as blue as the 20k's on the market but are nice bulbs.
