Too much for my 33 gal Showtank ? My show tank clears 20, so if i put the light 10-12 inch's above with maybe two fans (in and out) would i be ok ? I have nice fish i want them to live a long time. Thanks guys

You would be OK, but I would suggest a 250W, because you will have heat issues with the 400. Is this a fish only tank? The reason I ask is because you could probably even do T5 lighting and be happy.

OK, So i guess i only can get a 400w'er...So now i have to pic from 10000k12,14,20k...Im thinking 14 since it's right in the middle and it will give off some blue and some day light. What do you guys think ?
I still think you would be OK with a 250w, unless you have already purchased the 400w.
The color is subjective, if it was me, I would go with 14 or 20K.

Well now i think about it, i think i might buy this model...Tell me what you think, and remember this is being used with my 33 gal show tankProduct Specification
• Light fixture (Approx. 36“x 15“x 3“)
• Support: 1x 250W DE HQI, 2x 96W Compact Fluorescent, 4x Dual
Bluemoon LED
• Non corrosive powder coated aluminum housing
• External HQI Ballast
• Internal Compact Fluorescent Ballast
• Built-in Cooling Fan
• Tempered glass lens and acrylic lens
• Individual power cords and on/off switches
It think that looks good. You may still end using fans, either on your sump or the display, but you are better off with the 250w. JMHO

Dan, dont waste your money on MH or PC your tank is so small T5 is really more than adequate. I have a 33 long with this SunDial T5HO | Current What's Next
on top. This unit has been great so far, excellent constuction coupled with silent and reliable operation make it far superior the corallife (I think) unit your looking at. Despite what a manufacturer tells you indevidual cords are not always a benefit.
Do a little reasearch on T5 and youll understand why they are making such a big impression on so many.
