Excellent idea Charlie!...Thank you....You have no idea how many times I have to go looking for some of his articles....and I didnt even know that he made them all on one page![]()

(Includes links at the top of the page to all of Sanjay's measurements of spectral data, lamp intensity comparisons, including with various ballasts. This is an invaluable resource for comparing various lamps side by side.)

Great idea, Charlie! I think that's the first time I've see a list of his articles that also included links to all of his test data so that you can search for lamp and ballast comparisons. I hope you don't mind but I added something to that effect in your post to make sure people saw that right away.

Works for me Ninong, thanx for the addition. I don't know if anybody will use this link, but I figured it may answer a few questions beforehand, if you know what I mean.![]()

Yeah, if only they read the sticky posts. Sometimes I have a feeling they just ignore all of the skicky posts and drop down to the first non-sticky post. Oh, well... All you can do is try your best.

Charlie, the link in your opening post doesn't work anymore.

Charlie,
I found this link to Sanjay's articles on NY Reefs but it's not up-to-date. It hasn't been updated in more than three years.
One good thing about that NY Reefs link is that the search feature at the top of the page for the metal halide performance data actually works. I found other links to his performance data but the search feature wouldn't work.
I believe your link in your opening post came from Sanjay's website. It's broken on his own website, too.
It looks like his own website is not really up-to-date at all. Does he have a more recent website?
Ninong
Charlie,
Wow! This was a lot more difficult than I expected. NY Reefs.com is now Manhattan Reefs.com.
I actually registered to their bulletin board so that I could run a search to see if they now have an updated version of Sanjay's lighting data and they do: voilą
You even get a current picture of Sanjay because he put that up himself. I assume the link will work for anybody. Obviously it works for me because I'm a member of their cute little board now. See if the link works for you.
P.S. -- That list of articles that Sanjay put up himself doesn't go past May 2005. Hasn't he written stuff since then?
P.P.S. -- Anyone new to the hobby reading this thread who is interested in looking up certain lamps or ballasts using Sanjay's search feature should read Sanjay's FAQ section first.![]()

If I had only opened my eyes, I would have seen that they have a link to Sanjay's Lighting Guide right there on the home page of their website. I didn't have to run a search at all.

Works for me!
Just changed it George, thanx. Haven't had time to do much of anything here today, appreciate the help.

ok Thanks for everything!
When you go to Sanjay's site, click on "Articles" and start reading Sanjay's articles on lighting, starting with the most basic: "Basics of Light and Light Measurements." That should keep you busy for quite some time.
