Re: Few Questions about problems w/New bulbs

Sure will. I sent him a lengthy email about what exactly had happened. I also told him that I had a thread about it on Reefland.com that I would be keeping updated and that I would like to give Hamilton a good report. I have been very pleased with my lights so far but $700 + for a lighting system and the ballast should last for at least a few years.

I think I got it figured out. I think the last part of the email should have been technology and not lighting so I tried it and we'll see what happens.

Re: Few Questions about problems w/New bulbs

Alright here was the problem with the light some how I developed a leak in one of the capacitors and it spit oil out all over the place and was the cause of the one bulb not firing all the way up. I ordered 2 new capacitors for $28.95 a piece and then 2nd day shipping. Dave at Hamilton lighting was very and helped in guiding me to Alexandria who solved my problem. Thanks Reefland for the Contact info.

Re: Few Questions about problems w/New bulbs

I know its gonna work because I took the good capacitor and hooked it to the other transformer and it fired up for me. So in another couple days everything will be alright

Re: Few Questions about problems w/New bulbs

Well capacitors got here and I was pretty worried when I first saw them because apparently they've changed the shape? I compared stats from the 2 capacitors and they were pretty close so I hooked them up and I have working lights once again WOOHOO
