Are 6 T5ho Lights Over A Standard 55 Gallon Tank Too Much For A Reef Tank?

Are 6 T5ho Lights Over Saltwater Tank Too Much Or Can I Pretty Much Keep Anything Under That Light. I'm Starting To Turn My Fish Only Tank Into A Reef Tank And I Currently Only Have 2 T5ho Right Now. I Don't Want To Switch To Metal Halides. Any Advice Would Be Much Appreciated. Thanks.

it will limit you on some selection and enhance others, acclimating corals to this will be something to be cautious of

    He said it's a "standard 55-gal tank," so that would make it 48"L x 13"W x 20"H.

No, it's not too much, assuming you can fit six HO T5s over your standard 55-gal tank. Each T5 tube should have an individual reflector.

Can I Pretty Much Keep Anything Under That Light.
Yes, considering that your tank is only 20"H.

High intensity lighting with just HO T5s

If you have good reflectors on those, you will have enough light to keep any light demanding creatures, you might have to much light for some softcorals though.
