    Current Blue Lunar light modules

I have two of these coming in (one with power adapter and one linking module). I'm hoping this will be enough for my 33g tank (3' long). However I'm not sure how to mount them. I have a plain glass canopy on my tank with a Hagen Glo T5 strip light, so I don't have an actual hood on the tank. Do you think they would be ok just sitting face down on the glass canopy without being mounted to anything? I could mount them to the underside of the glass, but they will definitely get wet and I'm not so sure they are waterproof.

To be honest with you, I would lose the glass top on the tank, and figure out a way to mount them to the existing lite. The reason to get rid of the glass top is to allow for better air exchange in your system.
I don't have a top on either on of my systems.

I have a sump with lots of circulation and splashing so I don't think air exchange is much of an issue. Evaporation and jumping fish would be a big concern for me with no top. Plus the fact that the light does not have a lens so saltwater splashing directly on the bulbs and connections would be a hazard.

This is the light fixture I have:

You could build a hood. I'm making one. Kinda got stalled 2/3 of the way through the project because I cut some pieces about 3mm too short and haven't had a chance to work on it since. I'll link pics when I get done.

For the jumpers add a net layer.
