I have 2 LOA's on my 20g in my office at work. The color is yellowish as the bulbs age.
I just added a NO 03 bulb to balance things out. The problem is that the colors dont seem to blend very well. I am not sure if it is due to the LOA's being in a housing or what. Any rate the blue just dosnet seem to blend with the LOA.
I am considering, when time allows, taking the LOA's out of the fixtures and building a reflector to house both 6700's and the 03. I hope this will smooth the color out.

Timing has an awful lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
Does anybody know how much the replacement bulbs are for the LOA units? Are they even available? I have been looking but I haven't seen any.
Thanks.
The LOA 65 watt screw in bulbs are available at the Ole' Home despot for around $10

sorry for my ingnorance but what does aesthetics , does that mean, they're not vitaly importat or not? thanks
aesthetics=looks. They aren't needed for the coral, but some feel that the tank "look" could benefit from the addition of actinics. Personally I feel that the LOA looks good on its own. LMO though.
