    First off:

Secondly, what are you doing with the live rock, are you cycling a tank??????
When I cycled mine, I just went ahead and poured the lite to the tank, on a normal lite cycle. Do you think you could manage to give us a tiny bit more info???

Live rock is the best filtration for any saltwater set up, I think that will answer both of those questions. Do a little looking around this site man, you are gonna get some good info on any type of saltwater set up.
