Sanjay tested the 400w 20,000K lamps on a regular magnetic ballast (90 PPFD) and on a PFO-HQI ballast (110 PPFD). It looks like you are about 20% better off on the HQI ballast. Ninong ![]()

20 pecent doesnt bother me.. im just looking to fire them.. if a regular 400 watt ballast will fire them up then i want to get them... i mean i am talking about 2 400 watts on a 55 gallon reef. whats 20 percent???
