i just bought a new lighting system,but i dont know what t5s i should go with i know i want to buy giesemann i just dont know what bulbs. its a 48" 6 bulb system

What do you think of (3) 11000k (1) 6000k and (2) actinic? think that would be enough for me to keep corals in my 120gal
I think that would be OK. I hate to choose the color for people because it is so subjective. My actual suggestion would be to get out and try and see actual lighting systems to see what colors appeal to you. There is plenty of info on here about which bulbs other folks use, and plenty of pictures also. That being said, no picture can actually tell what exactly these bulbs will look like in your own system.

Yea true, Only problem is where im from our lfs is a bunch of hacks they rip us off big time. wont say there name but they are a sponser on reefland from my state. So the only way to get good info is from books and online

I realize that, we have the same thing here. The question is what colors are pleasing to your eye?
Have you looked at any of Poseidons posts about his tank. He is really the guy around here that is the T5 guru. I am just a simple MH hack;;;;;;;;. If I am correct, he is running an 8 T5 setup on his 90, and sps are growing out the top of the tank.
Chances are you are going to go thru a few combinations before you hit on one that, for one, grows your corals, and two, looks good on your system. Know what I mean?

yea man i went through reef book and decided to go 3 11000k 1 6500 and 2 antinic going to start there and see what happens. Thanks for all the help charlie
