Question acclimation?

Well, I finnaly upgraded to MH. Now, how do I acclimate my new lights? I had 110 watts pc's on a 30g reef. I now have a 250 w iwasaki. how far should position the light up, and what cycle should I put it on? thanks.

Hi SKRIZ!

I would position the new light in it's permanent spot. The amount of time is what you want to adjust. Since you already have animals that are doing ok with your PC's, take it slow. To be extra safe, start the halide on a 2hr. per day cycle and increase it 15-30 minutes every day or two until your up to full cycle. This may be extreme but I don't see any reason to rush it.

Be sure to get us some pictures when it's buring!
