Yes I suppose your right. One odd thing when I transferred my old LR and put my turbo snails in,a few minutes later several turbo snails were covered with bristle stars. They were not attacking them,I didn't know what was going on.
Not real sure of what I am looking for there Steve??? Give me a location. It is probably just a filter feeder, nothing bad anyways.
You are going to find that we are pic hungry here, the more the merrier, and they always bring up some good discussion.
The fact is, I am old, and I hate typing all the time, I am reverting back to my childhood where I always looked at the pics in a book before trying to read.![]()

Did you click on the photo if you did it's dead center under the rock.
It is a filter feeder, you can see its crown, and I'm pretty sure it's safe.
I think I see what you are looking at, is it in the hole or just above it?
I had the same thing happen when I transferred some chaeto into my 75 gal.. refugium when I started it back up on the 300.

No,it's below the hole just to the right.
The crown is just slightly bigger than the hole.
OK, I get it!!!!!!
Have you got a build thread going on in the Reef Aquariums forum?

Don't know what that is.
Have you started a thread about your tank and the process you went through to get it up and running, something like this:

Thanks,I like the Sun Coral a lot.Might get a black one.How do lps and sps get along, that's something I need to research.
I have them coexisting in my tank. The thing you have to remember about LPS, is that they have this nasty tendency to throw out these sweeper tentacles that are really nasty. I try to give them about 6" of space, but when things start to grow, that space disappears................quickly. There is always warfare going on in a system, believe it or not. Our job is to try and minimize the amount, but over time it is sometimes impossible to do, stuff just grows into one another!!!![]()
