How deep is the tank and what kind of ballast did he wire up for you????
Merry Christmas
Ok guys i needed new lights for my 220 i'm just getting it started, i had a 48" pc light on a 84" tank just to start off , , my wife had her dad wire up 4 VHO endcaps and install 10k daylight bulbs as a christmas gift , there is a overlap in the middle but good light throughout the tank , will this work for lowlight corals if i leave my pc in the tank also? i dont want to hurt her feelings but will these lights work?

ok i have gotten up this morning a accually looked at the hood and the work done and found the boxes in the trash , so he accually wired up two t8 fixturers with polished reflectors (look like fancy shop lights), and set them up on a timmer , the bulbs are the same but the ballast is built into the hood , no writing on the ballast, my tank is 24" deep 28" wide and 84" long , the lights overlap a litthe in the middle bit with a 24" centerbrace that kind of defuses the light , i also have my pc Orbit 4 x 65W still on the tank over the center brace with two 50/50 and two actinic lights (only running the actinic )

Kevin,
I've researched a bit this morning just to make sure I'm not totally wacked, t-8 bulbs are not VHO, the are a normal output bulbs with a better energy rating and a longer life expect. However I could still be wrong, if you can get me a pic of the bulbs writing where it goes into the endcaps please.
Also based on the pics, we gotta work on your lights, no offense meant Dad
