72 Gal Bow Front Lighting Advice

Hi everyone, new to the boards, been around lurking and reading for a long time though, great information. I currently have a 72 Gal BowFront AQ, and am looking to upgrade from Power Compact Lighting to T-5's. For my price range, I was thinking about going with the Nova Extreme Pro 6 Bulb. Anyone have any thoughts on that, and how that fits on the tank? I measured and think I will be OK, but thought I would solicit some advice. Any other advice or suggestions welcome as well. Thank you!

Bowfronts are hard to light because of the shape, but you should be alright

Thanks much Charlie, appreciate the confirmation. Would that fixture be your recommendation in that price range? Mark

I believe I have the same fixture over my 40 gallon breeder, it will work for you

Charlie, looks super. Do you think this fixture gets me the most "bang for the buck" in your opinion? Thanks for sharing the pics!

FWIW..........................................yes. Do a little searching around on here and you are going to find that alot of people are using T5 right now because of the cost and they ARE effective.

Thank you Charlie, absolutely have seen on the boards lots of T5's out there. I appreciate your responses. I have so many other questions I don't know where to start, but I will poke around and see if I can't find some of those answers.

Re: 72 Gal Bow Front Lighting Advice

Charlie, what are your thoughts with this 6-light Extreme Pro? I was just looking at it, I am not going to have any room at all I don't think to open up the lids for any maintenance inside the tank.
Taking the light fixture all the way off every time would be a pain. Perhaps I need to stick with the 4 bulb T5 instead which would give me a bit more room. I just don't know. . . but definitely like have the extra bit of wattage with the 6 bulb Extreme Pro.

    Thanks. . Mark

Take the lid off the tank. The 4 bulb fixture would do OK too. Do a little reading about having the lid off, OK?

Thanks Charlie, thought about that option as well, looks like I'll evaporate a bit more water, but that should be OK. What is your two cents, do you think the extra watts are worh it?
    Thanks,
    Mark

Depends on what you want to grow in there. The extra light would be good for clams and sps.

That is only .01, the daytona 500 is on
