I recently purchased The Exotic Panaorama LED Lights, does anyone have experience with these? I'll keep you posted once I set up my tank.

Do you have a link to more information about this fixture?
Kind regards,
Gene.

I'm not familiar with them. How many of those 12.75"L x 1.5"W modules did you order for your 75-gal tank? They don't really tell you very much about them other than their own "claims" that these lamps are "absolutely" enough to support Tridacna clams and SPS.
I did learn that each module contains 8 white 8,000K lamps and 4 blue 253nm lamps. Each module draws 13 watts, so that means each lamp is running just 1 watt. Hmmm... I wonder how many of those you need to meet their requirement that it all depends on the depth of your tank and the number of modules you use. I couldn't find any advice about the number of modules you should use over a standard 75-gal tank to "absolutely" support SPS corals and Tridacna clams.
I even checked out the manufacturer's Web site but it did not have any new information. All they want to tell you as far as specs are concerned are the dimensions of the modules, the number of lamps in each and the total power draw of each. Looking at all of their available fixtures, it's apparent that each lamp draws 1 watt.
If they can truly support SPS corals and Tridacna clams with these modules at depths of say 24", then I would be surprised. I wonder if anyone has actually measured their output? In other words, how do they compare in PAR against typical HO T5 fluorescents or 250w metal halides? Are they comparable or not? Do you have to cover the entire surface of the aquarium with these modules or what? What is the light spread for each module? You can't figure out how many you need without knowing the light spread and the intensity of the light inside that spread at say 18" from the bottom of the fixture, which is the standard distance usually used for such measurements.

I have a 150 gallon mix tank with SPS, LPS, and Soft coral. When I first installed the Exotic Panorama LED's they worked great; however, after 6 months it started going bad. My corals began dying off due to insufficient light. When I talked to Exotic they sent me another 453nm module but it did not help out much.
I took a PAR meter and checked and I was getting the following:
450 PAR at the source
430 PAR at the surface
250 PAR just below the surface of the water
35 PAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at 12" of water depth.
NOTE: water was clear and I did not get a PAR reading when I first installed the LED's. All power sources were verified to be within specification.
My advise is to purchase the 300W LED fixtures that are made in china and have fans to cool the LED's. Stay away from Exotic unless you want your coral to die off.
Best of luck
