Before you go messing with the lights, have you tried moving the coral to a different spot in the tank?
Both of the K values you mentioned are ok for corals, but let's try a few things first before you go spending your hard earned money needlessly.
So I have a sunset Montipora under t5 coralife and it's not doing well. I was looking at getting a ecoxotic stunner strip to create more light
Do any of you know if the 453nm blue or the 8000K white will help my corals grow??
Any advice helps

400 Gallon Reef Log
Rome wasn't built in a day---neither is a reef
Willis--1998-2009---I will miss you.
i moved it up in the tank its 8 below the light and 4 inches from the water surface. it is also just below the blue led moon light. I notice so far that the led boosts the color in only certain spots. i'm hoping in a week or so the color and growth will improve.
