    Lightbulb Help on Decision Lighting?

I have a 20 gallon and am looking for some lighting for it. I plan on putting two False Percula Anemonefish and a small anemone in there soon. At my local fish store there is a 24" 4x24w T5HO Deep Blue Lighting System. I was wondering if this would be sufficient?

I would be more concerned about housing 2 clowns and an anemone in such a small tank. I know its not what you're asking about but its my $0.02.
The general rule for reef type lighting is 3-5 Watts per gallon. T5 ho is a good choice but I hope you reconsider your stocking selecting for a 20 gallon.

    +1
nems are pretty toxic critters and in a 20, there isnt alot of water after you take into consideration water diplacement from rock and sand. its more difficult to keep the satable water conditions in a smaller tank which really hurts the chances of success. they need really good water. if you really want clowns and something for them to host, you could always get a different coral for them. in my tank, my clown shacks up with star polyps, brain, torch, frogspawn, even some of my palays. although nems are the natural for clowns, they just want something to feel safe with. before you add a nem, try somehting else until you become more familiar with salt tanks. then wait till you upgrade....which we all end up doing, even if it means getting rid of furniture to make room.... good luck!

    Re: Help on Decision Lighting?

I have 3 clowns in my reef with 2 anenomes (rose +a green bubble-tip). ONe clown stays in my green hairy (frilly) mushrooms and the other 2 are most often in the rose anemone and occasionally go in the green bubble when the rose is deflated. My point is for you to get some Hairy Green Mushrooms instead off the anemone , and when you are able to set up a larger reef you can go for the anemone. HAPPY REEFING!!!!!
