i cant thank of all the light spectrums i need for my reef tank . here is what i have .
i have 8 150Watt RX7s col.942(4200k) double ended ceramic metal halide bulb. Premium branded, our metal halide bulbs offer unbeatable colour rendering, reliability and consistency. Also UV filtered with increased lamp life and reduced heat output. Popular for floodlight use in car parks, warehouses, stadiums, airports etc and commonly used to highlight retail displays & reef aquariums. Also known as Philips Master Colour, G.E Constant Colour, Sylvania CMI-TD and Osram Powerball HCI-ts . then i have 4 48" vho altenick bulbs .room for 4 more vho bulbs at this point . my canpie is lined with plasting glass mirrors in a coffin desine with two high flow fans in it . one for intake and one for out put . can anyone thank of lighting that i am missing at this point ?

I think not. 4200k? WAY TO YELLOW
this is not the right bulb for a reef tank. look into getting a USHIO 10k. You need a metal halide bulb in the 10k to 20k range.

Yes I can. Once you get the right metal halide bulbs you might be in good shape. What kinds of ballast do you have for your metal halides? Im think you might need to replace this also since your bulbs are designed for warehouse spaces and such. you shoud have electronic ballast of well repute with a pulse start if you want 20k.

good luck, read more, spend less

thats understandable, they are only $30 new from a retail outlet, someone in the commercial lighting biz probably gets them for $5

    you asked, I answered.

It's the wrong lighting for the application, so it's worth exactly what you paid for it.
