Hi, At the moment i have a hood which have 40W 3 T8 tubes ( 2 white (6,700K each) and 1 blue). My tank is 53" long by 13.8" by 13.8"deep so its not deep. im planning to have leather type, polyps and mushrooms in my tank.

my plan is to have 4 T5's tubes instead...and im planning to DIY my hood and lighting.

i wish to have some advice and information regards
if it is worth it to change into T5's?
what do i need to install these type of tubes? type of ballasts etc
