I'm so tired of trying to figure out the best fixture for a 20 gallon long. Can you just tell me which one to buy. I only have softies, would love moon lighting and any advise would be greatly appreciated!!

30" tanks are hard to get fixtures for. I felt your pain when I set up my 29gal about two years ago. The trouble with 30" fixtures is the lamps are 24" long. This leaves a dark area at the ends of your tank. I ended up using 2 CoraLife 30" T5 fixtures in order to get 4 lamps over the tank. The nice thing about the CoraLife is the lamps are 27.5" and cover the whole tank. CoraLife now makes a four lamp fixture with lunar lights. Fairly new product. I've been quite happy with mine for growing softies. Not enough light for SPS, nem's, or clams though. Marine Depot sells the four lamp fixture. One note of caution. You will be limited to the CoraLife replacement lamps as nobody makes the 27.5" lengths but them. The bulbs have performed well for me though and they are no more expensive than other standard lamps. JMHO.
Thanks Chasman. I was looking at Aquaticlife 30" today. I wish I could get a bigger tank but don't have the room for it. BTW, I'm originally from Cleveland. The best people grew up there![]()
I have the CoraLife 30" T5. IMO, it's perfect for your tank considering of course, Chasman's comments. Let me know if you need info/have questions.

Thanks for the Cleveland comment. We don't get too many these days. Lol.
I purchased the Aquaticlife fixture you are looking at. Nice fixture but it only has 24 inch 24 watt bulbs. I sent it back. I think you will like the CoraLife better and it's about $100 less. The CoraLife has 27.5 inch and 31 watt bulbs. No timer thing on it though. But you can resolve that with standard timers.

You might consider these. I have two of them and love them.
