    Scheduling Lighting

Okay, I've been out of the loop for 15 years since since my last 150 SW tank in Florida. I am setting a 120 Reef tank with fish. The hood I bought has daylight and actinic CFLs plus LED 'moonlights', all with separate power. I want to put these on separate timers. I know the daily 24 hour cycle of all off/blue/plus white/blue minus white/moonlight/all off cycle will approximate a normal day, but I haven't a clue as to cycle times. Any help out there?

    Don... I run as follows:

    09:00 am - actinic on
    10:00 am - white on
    07:30 pm - white off
08:30 pm - actinic off / moon on
    09:30 pm - moon off

Someone's tank is in a room where they can see it when they are home . Mine is now in my 3 yr old's room, so it's not easy.

So looking fwd to putting my 90 together.

    Re: Scheduling Lighting

My schedule is: 10:00 am- actinic on. 11:00 am- Daylights on. 9:00 pm- daylights off, moonlights on. 10:00 pm- actinics off. 3:00 am- moonlights off. Are you going to have a refugium with macro algae? If so, i run my fuge light on a 12 hour schedual opposite the display lights. 10:00 pm- fuge light on. 10:00 am- fuge light off.
