IMO, the par values are more important than anything. As long as you can estimate where those fall at the different depths of your tank you will be fine. Wait until you get those reds up. I haven't seen colors on my tank like that ever. The magenta/blue strip I bought was well worth the $99 and the dawn/dusk effect it provides an hour after/before my 12ks are on is incredible. I am skeptical about the UV. I would ease that in in an attempt to make sure you don't brown your corals or cause some unsightly algae bloom. This is simply opinion.

Well the reds are on same circuit as the UV. When I do introduce corals to this tank I assume I will either have to shorten the photo period or dim the lights and gradually work them up over some period of time. This is something I do not know. The UV I assume would be in small doses at the equivelant of maybe 2 hrs at what I would consider high noon lighting.

A couple pics of the Coral Maxx 180 watt LED sitting on my 72. It will be suspended over the tank later 7-10 inches and are much brighter than the pics show..
