LOA 65watt Mod 9266 Change
Hi all,
Just bought 2 new 9266 LOA lights for my refugium and quarantine tank. I am using an older 9266 over my sump. Much to my surprise when I took them out of the boxes the reflectors are now white and not the mirror alumimium. Seems to have the same output. I'll check the output after I receive my new submersable light meter. Maybe this has been going on for a while but I haven't heard abt it -- so thought everyone should know. Regards, Don

the portable work shop light has a white reflector and on/off switch. The outdoors model has a light sensor and an aluminum reflector.

This is the outdoor version with the sensor and no switch -- looks like they are making a change that will use just one reflector or they ran out of mirror reflectors and didn't want to shut down a production run. Oh well, time will tell. Regards, Don

Well I noticed on my 9266 that the chromed reflector does have little blue specks imbedded in the lettering in the plastic.
This maybe to shift the color spectrum a little. Maybe the white reflectors already have the blue tint in them.
