16" 55 watt bulbs?
Do you guys know if anybody makes a bulb like this? Right now I have 2 18" retro kits by PLS (power compact). They have two 16" 32 watt bulbs on each ballast. The connectors are 4 pin straight ( . . . . ) I would like to add more wattage to my tank but can't find a bulb like this anywhere. If anybody has a solution please help and thanks for your help in advance!!

The four pin .... bulbs are the German (Philips)ones.
The four pin :: are the Japanese (Panasonic) type. Regardless, you will need to find out what the ballasts are rated for. Most Retro kits (unless it is using a IceCap) ballasts are rated for the bulbs in it. For example you mention that you have a 2 by 32 watt retro kit. The ballast may be a 2 x32 watt ballast and not capable of running two 55 watt or 65 watt bulbs. You would want to check with the manufacture of the retro kit on what is the maximum wattage that the ballast(s) will drive, before you replace the bulbs.
