Lighting for FOWLR

Hi everyone, it's been a while!

OK, I want to start adding LR to my 150. What lights should I go with? I currently have 170W NO white and 60W NO actinic over it with just the fish in it.

Will that be enough? Do I really need to upgrade?
I have NO plans to make it a reef, I bought another tank for that.

Thanks!!

Scott

If you have a total of 230 watts of normal output fluorescent lighting for a FOWLR tank, you have enough. I just cannot figure out what your configuration could possibly be to add up to those numbers. NO lamps are 55w for 72" lengths, 40w for 48" lengths, and 30w for 36" lengths.

I find that 1 to 1 1/2 watts per gallon are pretty good for lighting up the tank good and getting some coraline algea growth.
Ive got 70 watts (40w 50/50 and a 30w 10k) over my 50 and it lights it up really nice bring out the colors on the fish great.

Talking

2x55w 72" = 110 (daylight)
4x30w 36" = 120 (2 daylight, 2 actinic)

Total 230
