Looking for 72" 1 bulb VHO ballast?

Anyone know of a company who makes a ballast to run 1 vho 72" 160W bulb?

I have seen a few who sell the 2 72" VHO ballasts. I just need one, and I'd prefer it to be inexpensive, under $100.

Anyone know where I can find one?

I only know of Tar ballasts that will light a single bulb that far:

All are 120 volt and for T12 size bulbs:

Sola P/N E-420-F-1215-TP
Advance P/N RC2S102-TP
Magentek P/N 951-STCP

My personal favorite is the Sola as it is ISO 9001 and generally has a 5 year warrenty. I have used their MH ballasts with great succes.

You might try http://www.bulbsa2z.com/ for the ballast. I don't know if they have that one, but they might be able to order it, as they carry Sola and I think Advance.

Grainger and Greybar will have or can get the Advance one's as well, but often require a retail/wholesale account to be set up with them.

You might also ask Andy at IceCap, ( http://www.icecapinc.com/ ) as maybe a 660 could be used.

Thanks Ice! I will start calling around this weekend.

The websites are difficult to understand! So many numbers.

For example:

Model 9950 ballast works with 344556, 4355, 345245, and 54w77 type bulbs.

What a bunch of jargon! I'll figure it out eventually. I do have a contractors license, so ordering shouldn't be a problem.

From IceCap:
You could use a Model 430 to light one 6 or 8 ft VHO lamp. If you later wanted to add a 2nd lamp you would just re-wire it. The model 660 must have a load of at least two lamps.

There you go, a 430 would be by far your best bet.

$100 + shipping.

Where do you live in NJ? I'm in south Jersey(Blackwood), so we could avoid shipping charges.

My parents live in Cherry Hill, I live near Trenton, and I was born and raised in Westville.

So s/h wouldn't be necessary

Email me when you want to sell it

Thanks Again, John

Ok, no problem. I hold it for you then. Should be about 3-4 weeks.
