Lighting Suggestions for 8ft tank
Hi all, I am looking for your ideas for lighting a 96x30x28 deep glass tank. The tank will be primarily SPS, some LPS and clams. I will probably have a 6 inch deep sand bed, so that makes the height 22 inches. I am looking for lighting intensity and the most bang for the buck. A possible combination I have is 2 400w 10k metal halides and 2 400w 6500K Iwasaki, supplemented with 4 6 foot 160w VHO actinics. Any other ideas about possible setups keeping electrical costs in mind? Thanks,
Nanook

I would put 2 400 watt Iwasaki and 2 400 watt 20k Osram bulbs. Use blueline ballasts so you could switch to all 20k if you want. No VHO neccesary. This setup would give a nice color as well as alot of PAR.
