175w mh able to keep a clam at the bottom of a 125gallon shark tank?

Sharks are pretty dirty and tend to move everything not bolted down around, when they get to a nice size... don't know if I would try it unless the shark will eventually be going to that upgraded tank you mention and the clam is staying in the 125.
also how deep is the 125? A rule of thumb that I always use is that up to 18 inches deep 175 watt bulbs. More than 18 inches up to 26 inches 250 watt bulbs. +30 inchs 400 watt bulbs.

well the shark is pretty dosile. never really lknocks stuff over atleast now. see i plan on making a kinda of island of live rock the rest of the tank will be sand bottom. on top of the rock i want to try a acropora. and or a clam.

yeah the island idea is cool, i just did that with my FOWLR tank. That might work pretty good for a shark.
