Quick disconnect wiring ?
Got my PFO dual 250W standard ballast today along with sockets and spiderlight reflectors...
Got a question on wiring: The sockets have a white and black wire that connect with the quick disconnect cable's white and black wires, but the quick disconnect also has a green wire. What do I do with it? ![]() |

The green wire is the ground. I would recommend grounding it to the ballast if possible, or even with a direct lead to the outlet. Its not needed to run the light, but for safety purposes I highly recommend it. 400w throws enough current to do some damage.

????
even more confused now... The green wire is on the end that attaches to the lamp socket. The quick disconnect plug is on the ballast end and is grounded. If it's a ground, do I attach the green to the reflector, bracket, socket? |

I agree with Ltspd.
I have the exact same lighting setup and I have the green wire running to my reflectors. Andrew
