Why Iwasaki?
Guys,
could some of you explain why the Iwasaki65k is such a great bulb? I picked up pfo 400 watt dual ballast with 2 new 65k with sockets for 175.00 and I just want to know why so many people prefer this bulb and color temp. All answers are appreciated. guide me to the roud of enlightenment MROK12 |

Here's my view......FWIW
1- The Iwasaki bulbs have more Par then any other bulbs in its wattage. The 250 watt Iwasaki has more Par then all the 400 watt bulbs except for the 400 watt Iwasaki. 2- Price, as you already know the Iwasaki bulbs cost about half what other bulbs cost 3- The Iwasaki bulbs last longer then most all other bulbs. Some say up to two years. One major draw back is the color they give off. I also run a 400 watt Iwasaki. Its cast an ugly color into my tank, but the 4x55 watt actinic PC bring the color up to the 10K bulbs that I also use. Mark |
