I'm curious how it would be the same power? I don't know about 250w but Pfo-hqi uses 396watts blueline 399.9 w Magnetic 420w= not to much different in halides using energy. But 3 ballast vs 2? The pc used that Much? I would figure even if the lighting is better=3 mh ballast. It still would use more power? these are 400w ballast I found # on.

Iron reef, a dual 96w pc uses 1.74amps.
Very close to a 250w bulb. Since I am using (2) 250w, as I was before then nothing changed there. Now, I am using (1)150w in the center, where I had nothing before, and (2)40w NO bulbs instead of the 96w pc's. So the addtion of the 150w halide and the (2)no floro's almost equals what the (2)96w pc actinic's drew as far as electricty. Watts = Amps x Voltage Golfish, I moved the bulbs to where they are laying on the tempared glass and away from the heat. They are working fine now. They would power and run cold, and as long as I didnt unplug them they would contine to burn next to the HQI's for the whole day. Once I umpluged them they would re-fire until they cooled. But now that they are lower they fire. Go figure

I see. I was thinking 3 250w. I'm just going to add another halide probally 250hqi. Don't want my power to go up
